At Our Lady of Lourdes our kitchen staff work hard to make sure the meals for everyone are healthy and tasty.
HCL (Hertfordshire Catering Ltd) provide our school meals. Please see welcome letter below from HCL.
Key Stage 1
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to universal infant free school meals.
Key Stage 2
Healthy school meals are available everyday to children in Key Stage 2. The daily charge for a school meal is £2.52 payable in advance using ParentPay. If your family receives certain benefits or is on a low income your child may be eligible to receive free school meals. If a child wishes to change from school dinners to packed lunch or vice versa, we ask parents to either write or complete a ‘change of dinner option form’. Parents are asked to notify the school in advance and of any change to their child's meal choice in the next half term.
Glass bottles and cans are not permitted in packed lunches and, in line with our healthy school status, sweets and chocolates should not be included in your child's lunch box. As a nut-free school, please ensure that nuts or products that may contain nuts, are not included in your child's packed lunch as this could be a danger to those with allergies.
